Welcome to the August edition of our newsletter
Blimey where do I start, we've been busy here!
Gatwick Group Announces New Additions To The Fleet
To expand our range of services
available from Gatwick and Southampton depots and with
further depots planned to open across the UK, we have
now purchased an additional nine Scanias all with cranes
from the HIAB XS mobile
crane range to add to our already substantial fleet.
Four of the new trucks have already been delivered with
the imminent arrival of two more, the remaining three
vehicles will be on the road by the end of this year.

Our policy is to go for the best of everything. That way, we have a team of drivers who take pride in their work and that are always willing to go the extra mile to deliver beyond our customers expectations.
Gatwick Group get all Rock N Roll!
Now, we may be known for being leaders and innovators in Quality and Safety for the industry and for our conservative approach to getting the job done right, some may even say we're a little stuffy with all our rules and regulations .... but every now and then we like to let our hair down, get a bit 'rock n roll' or perhaps trash a hotel room or two? Maybe even chuck the odd Audi TT in a swimming pool.

One driver got his job sheet for the day and it looked a bit like this..
- Wait for a brand spanking new Audi TT to roll up
- Schmooze around with some media luvvies whilst they set up a glossy photo shoot for Intersection Magazine
- Drop aforementioned car into a swimming pool
- Watch scantily clad model writhe around on the bonnet of the car
- remove sodden car (and maybe cry a little bit - what a waste!)
Well ... I suppose it keeps the wolves from the door.

We Go Back To School
We were all given a big lift by the students and staff at Oakwood School by being asked to take part in their first Maths Challenge week last month .Year 10 students spent a day in health and safety gear tackling a crane obstacle course using a hand-held remote control in a beat-the-clock challenge to win their school maths department our donation of mathematics software.

Pupils Kristy Briggs and Natalie Hallam, both 15, finished in first place in the challenge. The Students also spent the day creating a new logo for us, as well as designing and building a futuristic crane and completing a series of geometry-related exercises.
We had a great day and look forward to working with the school on future projects, we'd also like to thank Ray Wiseman of Hiab for the loan of the HIAB Vertikal Challenge Game and for attending the day with us.
