Most of our clients will
have utilised some aspect of our services at some time
but as our company has grown we have embarked on even
more activities that link with our core function of
Hiab Transport.
As each part of our business
has grown we have learned a lot about just what our
clients want from us and have responded by growing
our management and logistics team in order to respond
to their increasing demands.
If you have a contract that
involves the reception of heavy materials or equipment,
the consolidation of these goods, the onward distribution
of the goods to site with the need to lift anything
under controlled contract lift conditions we now offer
this complete package.
Our highly skilled and motivated
team are eager to show you that when you work with
such a quality company as Gatwick Plant, you will
never have the need to call anyone else. Entrust us
with your problems and you won’t become bogged
down trying to sort out logistical problems that we
can take in our stride.
We will leave you free to deliver
your very best to your clients.
Our recent projects include
moving and deploying 1200 tons of steel barriers in
to and out of Gleneagles as part of the security work
for the recent G8 conference. Deployment and recovery
were all carried out well inside the three days we
had scheduled for the work and although delayed by
the security forces we were able to hand the site
over to our client, Corus Bi-Steel some 12 hours ahead
of schedule..
Taylor Woodrow entrusted us
to move 5 28 ton concrete blocks as part of the new
Pier 3 project at Gatwick. Working in conjunction
with all the other trades on site we uplifted and
transferred the blocks to ensure progress of the work
was maintained.
We are currently working
on a new project for Transport for London, moving
vital piling equipment around the capital in order
to keep up with the busy programme.
ThyssenKrupp Airport Services at Gatwick
This month we were awarded
the prestigious contract to remove 12 old Aircraft
Loading Bridges, and replace them with 12 new
ones at Gatwick for ThyssenKrupp Airport Services
SA. based in Oviedo, Northern Spain.
Work commenced in February
and is programmed to run until Late August.
Initially the contract
was fragmented and involved a lot of input form
Main Contractor Taylor Woodrow who had to coordinate
the various activities and deliveries to site.
As Signatories for Gatwick
we were able to offer a complete logistics package
that included the demolition, removal and disposal
of the old units and installation of the new
ones.
We were able to provide:-
Crane hire, working under Contract Lift conditions,
Ancillary Plant Hire i.e Fork Lifts and Access
Booms, including the qualified Staff to operate
them. Hot Works Permits and the ability to provide
security passes to enable all the various contractors
and deliveries from Spain onto the site.
We reduced Thyssen's list
of subcontractors and UK point of contact to
just us, simplifying their role completely, and
taking the pressure off Taylor Woodrow's Management
Team.
