Training
We have always firmly believed that well trained and
competent staff are the key to Safety, Profitability
and Customer Satisfaction and for this reason our staff
are qualified in all the relevant Industry standards.
In view of the ever increasing
regulations and obligations that apply to lifting
operations most operatives will hold CPCS cards for
Lorry Loader, Slinger Signaller, Forklift IPAF &
PASMA and in addition to this most of them will also
have qualified as Appointed Persons as well.
All drivers are also ADR qualified
to enable them to carry dangerous goods and every
member of Staff will also have qualified as a First
Aid Appointed Persons as well.
Whilst we recognise that these
standards are accepted by the industry they do however
fall far below the level that we require operating
our bigger Hiab cranes and other specialised equipment.
For this reason we have a robust Induction and training
regime that will elevate out staff to our requirements
and it takes anything up to 6 months before we will
be happy with their performance.
We have for some years and long
before the new CPCS system had been using our own
in house log sheets that records each task new drivers
carry out. We then have assessments against given
criteria that the operator may request when they feel
they are ready. Once they have achieved a particular
task level, they can then drop the need to log this
activity and the process will be repeated until they
achieve a pass level in every standard.
We will also hold in house training
schemes that relate to a particular job or Contract
so that we iron out all the problems before we arrive
on site to ensure we keep you on schedule.
In addition to this we also
train our men to ensure they look after number one,
you our clients so you will find all our staff motivated,
eager and willing to get the job done. The words “We
can’t Do this” have been banned from our
vocabulary.
We do also have an in
house IPAF & PASMA trainer and we are a registered
PASMA training centre and would be pleased to hear
from you if you have a requirement for this service.
