“We've built a relationship based on trust & experience with Gatwick Group, meaning that we are happy to hand every aspect of the installation or removal of our passenger boarding bridges over to them. Their expertise & initiative has been crucial to our success.”
Amador Dominguez,
Project Mgr
“The whole of the T5C Gallows Installation project at Heathrow was a success. Many thanks for your help, guidance and professional service. We will most certainly use Gatwick Group again.”
Steve Harvey, Contract Manager
“It is a welcome change to work with a company who proactively offer solutions to challenges, rather than just seeing them as an obstacle to completing the work ahead.”
Steven Brown, Airports Manager
“Network Rail have a need to get Rail Lengths or S&C gear moved at very little or no notice at all , and I can be confident that you always find a way at short notice with your ‘can do-will do’ attitude.”
Nick Murphy, Plant Co-ordinator
“It is rare to see companies working to the modern H&S rules. As a site manager I am forever battling with companies who turn up ill equipped to carry out their works. It is a breath of fresh air to see such a professional attitude to a job and to see the correct equipment used for the task in hand. Keep up the good work.”
Chris Croxford, Site Manager
“You consistently deliver on our routine jobs, but I can also rely on you to come up with solutions to our more unusual requirements that present us with challenges, as well as stepping in at short notice to salvage jobs when we have experienced difficulties in the past.”
Sandra Grinnol,
Hire Fleet Mgr
“I am writing to pass on my personal congratulations and thanks for a job well done by the team over the weekend.
As expected everything was executed in a thoroughly professional, planned and safe way and it was a
pleasure to behold.
I look forward to an equally successful and on going
relationship through to completion of this project and beyond.”
Eugene McQuaid, Project Mgr

Just Hanging Around
Our client Lee Warren Fabrication required the Transport & Contract Lift of Node Building Gallows for Heathrow's new T5C.
We sent our rear steer low-loader and trailer to collect the 6 gallows from Kent and deliver them to Heathrow's Terminal 5, each load was 5.5 meters long and 3.5 meters round and weighed 11.5 tons.
We then had to organise Abnormal Load Permits, and liaise with BAA to use a special gate to enter the airfield. We then provided a 60 ton mobile crane to offload each unit in an exclusion zone, and then positioned each Gallow on the side of the terminal building taking great care not to damage the pre installed glass and cladding panels.
These gallows connect the node buildings on each stand, via fixed links and rotunda's.
Each component was transported on time, installed to our method statement and lift plan on time and without incident.
Project Manager Stephen Harvey of Lee Warren said:
“The whole project at Heathrow was a success. Many thanks for your help, guidance and professional service. We will most certainly use Gatwick Group again.”
Ongoing Works at Heathrow T2
At the same time as our Gallows Installation project over at T5C, we have also been continuing works on behalf of ThyssenKrupp and main contractor Balfour Beatty, installing Passenger Boarding Bridges.
We have been overseeing the delivery of the bridges from ThyssenKrupp's headquarters in Oviedo, Northern Spain and arranging airside escorts for all Spanish vehicles upon arriving and leaving site.
Our specialist team then oversaw the Contract Lifting and Installation of the Passenger Boarding Bridges, the team is made up of BAA security passed personnel who , as well having the relevant industry qualifications, also have extensive experience of this type of installation, combined with an understanding of the stringent BAA Heath and Safety requirements that are in place when working in an Air Side zone.
We also provided a mobile crane on site to manoeuvre the bridges into place, along with the provision of all security passed ancillary plant & vehicles required to complete the works, therefore offering our clients a complete Turn-Key Solution regarding the Logistics & Installation required for this section of the project.
