Crane Hire or Contract Lift
We realise that our Hiab’s will never replace cranes but never the less we are still involved in some major lifting operations, and for this reason we operate within the guidelines of BS7121 Part 3 and comply with all the requirements of normal cranes. We often hire cranes in to work within our Contract Lifts and produce and manage the complete project.
However the added advantages of using our Hiab’s is the fact that only one vehicle is required to transport the goods to site and carry out the lifting operations. This reduces the space required to carry out the lift and also means that transport and crane hire are from one supplier so there’s no worry about abortive crane costs if the trucks are delayed.
Our fully trained “Appointed Person” will visit you to carry out a free on site survey to asses your particular site risks. We will then produce a site specific Risk Assessment, an acceptable Method Statement and Lift Plan to carry out the work. We will involve you every step of the way to ensure you are totally happy with our proposals and will discuss and implement any changes in the plan before work commences.
Every detail and every document will be reviewed by our team of appointed persons to ensure we have covered all eventualities. The final document will not be produced until we are completely satisfied that we have a safe procedure in place.
On the day of the job every team member will receive an on site briefing before work commences to ensure they know exactly what part they will play in the operation. You will notice the quality of Gatwick Plant by the fact that when the lift starts it will be carried out in complete silence.
