Newsletter March 2016

We are thrilled to have retained our FORS GOLD accreditation for another year. We continue to work hard to the FORS Gold standards and look forward to another year improving even more on them.

Our transport department is growing rapidly, we welcome three new operatives to Gatwick Group this month to add to our rapidly growing team. Last week our operatives transported a wide load consisting of a large sweeper from Gatwick Airport all the way to Edinburgh, our team enjoyed crossing the border safely, another job safely executed. Check out the photo below to see the sweeper on our Broshuis semi low loader trailer.

We have had another couple of busy months here at Gatwick Group.

Both our projects and transport departments have carried out some complex operations safely and to the highest standards this month. This has comprised of us installing the new Easy Jet hangar over at Gatwick Airport. It also saw our teams working over the Easter Weekend on back to back shifts for one of our Rail customers. They certainly had to battle the elements that weekend with the storm we faced but we ensured we completed the works safely and on schedule for the lines to be re-opened for the commuters returning to work after the bank holiday.

We completed a complex lift in Beak Street in London for one of our customers. It comprised of us using our X100 Hiab lorry with fly jib on at full stretch lifting a 2 tonne excavator up and over 18 metres. You can see our lorry in its “tight” set up in the photo below.
